Sooo…. I have just finnished watching Eyes Wide Shut by Stanley Kubrick.. It was a good movie, very “out there”. I did some reading and the content that goes on in the movie actually happens in real life. Or at least according to this guy. After seeing I am even more glad that after much thought and help from the tutors at UNI that I have chosen to write about Stanley Kubricks movies in my Reference Site. Kubricks movies have altered how I view the world and i am glab that i stayed awake for nights on end watching many of the Kubrick movies during Kubrick week that was on not so long ago.
Other things that have happened include me stressing about my Religious conflict in India speech due next week. I feel as though by taking the historical approach i have doomed myself to content that is too large for 30 minutes and should have instead gone with focusing on current events, but I still firmly believe that by understanding the past of an issue leads to greater understanding and foresight towards how and where that issue is going to proceed.
In media for my Triptych I am going to use an idea I gained inspiration for by watching the Kubrick movie Barry Lyndon. The Quote at the end of that movie had sunken in to my head and stuck there forcing me to think of a way i could bring it into a material form of my own creation. So in order to do this I am thinking that I will use the quote as a caption in my triptych and have several meaning with each layer used in the picture.
In japanese I had a panic attack as i realised an assignment was due on Wednesday, luckily it was also due in today as that was when the final turoails were being done. I have to say understanding japanese from Japanese people who talk very fast(on the listening tape) is alot harder than listening to a teacher..
Anyway for other stuff that has happened I found this games review site that i watch every week, many may know about The Escapist magazine/website, well this is a show on that called Zero Punctuation. The guy who reviews the games is British and talks very fast about funny glitch and what he hates about the game or the games franchise. Its quite entertaining watching the animations that go along witht he review aswell as watching the reviewer rage at everyone including the fanbase.
